I had a box of pension documents from the UK that I had been meaning to sort out for years. Siriporn came over one morning and within a couple of hours the whole thing was in a sensible order I could actually use. She explained what each section contained without making me feel rushed. I appreciated that she was clear about what she does and doesn't do — there was no awkward boundary-crossing into advice territory.

My mother signed up for the yearly plan and it has made such a difference. Before, she would get anxious every time something pension-related arrived in the post because she wasn't sure where it belonged or what it meant in general terms. Now her files are tidy and she has reference sheets to look at. The periodic visits keep things from slipping again. Very calm and easy to work with.

Michael Thorne
British expat, Phitsanulok area
I attended a community talk organised by Tidewell earlier this year. The room was relaxed and James spoke clearly about how pension paperwork is generally structured — the sort of overview I had been looking for without wanting to sit through something highly technical. Good use of a few hours. My only small note would be that the venue was a little warm, but the content itself was solid.

What I liked most was how they treated the visit as ordinary and manageable — not like something that required a specialist. I had documents from three different countries and expected it to be complicated. The sorting method they used was logical and I could follow the reasoning as they went. I now have a folder system I've maintained myself for the past four months.

Booking was straightforward — a quick message and a time was agreed within the day. The organiser arrived on time with everything needed. My documents were sorted by mid-morning and the reference sheets she left behind have been genuinely useful for understanding what each type of document generally represents. I will probably look into the yearly plan.

I attended the community talk on behalf of my community group and found it well-structured. James answered questions without steering people toward any particular course of action, which I thought was handled well. A couple of people in the group had quite specific questions he couldn't help with — he suggested they seek out appropriate professional help, which was the right answer. The general overview was useful for most of us.

Organising Stories
The Situation
A decade of unsorted documents
A retired British expat in Phitsanulok had accumulated pension documents from employment in three countries over a working life of 35 years. Most were loose in a large envelope with no labelling. The client found the pile increasingly stressful to look at and had been avoiding it for over a year.
What Tidewell Did
Two-session organising process
After an initial call, a two-session plan was agreed. The first session inventoried and sorted by country and document type. The second organised by approximate date within each category and produced a clear labelled folder structure with accompanying reference sheets. Total time: approximately five hours across two mornings.
Outcome
Manageable and self-maintaining
The client described the result as "the first time I've felt on top of it." The folder system was simple enough to maintain without further visits. The client later joined the Yearly Plan to stay organised going forward.
"I kept putting it off because I assumed it would be overwhelming. It wasn't. They kept it practical."
The Situation
Community group without clear context
A small expat social group in Phitsanulok had members who frequently discussed pension paperwork among themselves but found they lacked a shared basis for those conversations. A group coordinator contacted Tidewell to arrange a community talk so members could start from the same general understanding.
What Tidewell Did
Tailored community session
A Community Information Talk was arranged at a local meeting room. James prepared content around the specific document types most common to the group (UK and Australian pension correspondence). The session ran 75 minutes including a Q&A segment. Printed summary sheets were provided to all 14 attendees.
Outcome
Shared understanding achieved
The group coordinator reported that group discussions afterwards were noticeably more grounded. Four group members subsequently booked individual organising visits. The group booked a follow-up talk six months later to cover updated general information.
"Having that shared baseline made a real difference to how we talk about these things together."
